West Side Story at the State Fair Oct 4th – 23rd

Dallas Summer Musicals brings the American retelling of Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story, to the State Fair.  Fried Foods, Football Fun, Sharks, Jets and of course unforgettable Love will all be out and about during the nearly 3 week run of WSS.  The production will be the last for DSM in 2011.  No worries 2012 is going to be incredible.  More on WSS and those 2012 productions on the click thru.

HAIR at the Winspear NEXT WEEK!!

The Broadway run-away hit will begin its Winspear Opera House run starting next Tuesday, September 20th and lasting thru till Sunday October 2nd.  To showcase the start of the Lexus Broadway Series, with the fun ride that is HAIR, the folks at the ATTPAC had a Yarn Bombing.  A MASSIVE YARN BOMBING THAT IS!  Click thru for photos and more information.

Billy Elliot Worth All of Tony’s Gold

Last Night’s Tony Awards showcased the beauty, brilliance and ballsy history behind our Theatrical world.  As Book of Mormon backed up its 14 nominations with 9 “WINS!” it harped back to this last decade’s record setting productions.  Mel Brook’s amazing THE PRODUCERS is the all-time Tony Award winning Musical with 12 taken home in 2001.  It shares the total nomination title (15 total) with the musical who’s currently playing RIGHT HERE IN DALLAS, Billy Elliot.

The AT&T Performing Arts Center Announces the 2011-2012 Lexus Broadway Series Season
