LSIFF 2011 Opening Night Interviews and Willie Nelson

11 11 2011

The Red Haired Stranger and T-Bone took over McDavid Studio last night at the 2011 LSIFF’s Stephen Bruton Award presentation.  Click thru for more photos with Willie and two Opening Night Red Carpet Video Interviews with Actor Nick Krause of The Descendants and the team behind Searching for Sonny.

Willie Nelson was the 2011 LSIFF Stephen Bruton Award recipient presented by fellow legendary Texas Musician T Bone Burnett.  The one man that can easily represent Texas’ “Lone Star”, Willie Nelson serenaded and partied with some of Fort Worth’s finest folks last night.  Here is one more shot of Willie and T Bone playing a tune for the folks.

PSD ran into one of LSIFF’s regulars, the lovely young actress Melonie Diaz.

Melonie was the 2008 Lone Star Rising Star Award Recipient and has been a regular at the festival ever since!

And now for Breaking NEWS about a film premiere at LSIFF 2011!!!

O hell yes, Clarke Peters and MANY more in attendance for the recently added second screening of Searching for Sonny tomorrow night!  If you’re not familiar with the fellas behind this fun film take a gander at our Red Carpet interview from Wednesday’s Opening Night of LSIFF.

If you’d like to meet Searching for Sonny‘s Director Andrew Disney prior to Saturday Night’s premieres, venture on over to Pecha Kucha Fort Worth!

Here is the LSIFF 2011 Opening Night film’s, The Descendants, young star (Texan!!)Nick Krause.

I would like to clarify Nick’s last name is Kraus(E).  I blame the bitter cold on my mishap, check out my ears from this photo if ya don’t believe me!

Get to know Nick cuz he’s a real “find” by Alexander Payne!!
