Last night opened up the ROCK OF AGES run at the Winspear with a wild and crazy evening filled with debauchery, dirty dancing, and a damn chill fella named Dennis Dupree!!! It was an amazing time! But you can experience it with even more awesome debauchery and wildness because REO SPEEDWAGON is coming!!!
‘Impossible to Resist’ really sums up the quality in this amazing production. The US TOUR version has an all new cast from the Broadway version (most of the Tour group were part of the Toronto cast though). But lets get to the cool news about Sunday’s Matinee Show.
REO Speedwagon will attend May 22 Rock of Ages Performance at AT&T Performing Arts Center
Legendary band provided some of the classic 80s hits for the popular Broadway Musical!
Who: REO Speedwagon, the legendary American rock band that has sold more than 40 million records during a career that has spanned four decades. The band has charted 13 Top 40 hits, including “Can’t Fight This Feeling” featured in the musical.
What: REO Speedwagon will attend the Sunday, May 22 matinee performance at 2pm of Rock of Ages at the AT&T Performing Arts Center and come on the stage following the show. Tickets will be discounted by 50 percent for Rock of Ages for this special performance. Lone Star 92.5 radio is the sponsor of the matinee show and the Bo & Jim in the Morning Show will host the Q&A session with REO Speedwagon.

Summary: REO Speedwagon was at the height of its popularity as an American rock band during the time period of Rock of Ages. The band is in town for a performace at the Wildflower Arts & Music Festival on Saturday May 21, and will be at the AT&T Performing Arts Center the next day to watch the musical cast perform the songs made famous by them, Pat Benatar, Journey, Styx, Foreigner, White Snake and other head bands of the 1980s. Band members will answer questions from the audience following the matinee performance.
Constantine Maroulis of American Idol fame reprises his acclaimed performance in Rock of Ages as Drew in the 5-time Tony Awards nominated hit musical. The show tells the story of a small town girl and big city dreamer on Sunset Strip in 1987 through the hit songs of iconic rockers.
