SXSW Bound with Director Jay Rosenblatt part 2

14 03 2011

Director Jay Rosenblatt will see his short film, The D Train, have its World Premiere at SXSW tomorrow morning.  Jay talks SXSW, Sundance, HBO and so much more in part 2 of our chat.

I asked Jay what it is about Film Festivals that make them so important and he brought up his experiences at Sundance, The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival and now with SXSW.

The D Train will precede Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald’s latest documentary, Life in a Day.  Jay talks about his short 5 minute film set to World Premiere at SXSW.

Jay talked about some other festivals he’s been able to see his films go to.  Darkness of Day had a great run right here in Dallas as did others.

Speaking of The Darkness of Day.

Jay has had a good relationship with HBO.

Tomorrow at 11:30 am, preceding Life In A Day, Jay’s short film The D Train will have its World Premiere at SXSW.  And don’t forget HBO 2 is showing The Darkness of Day on Wednesday March 30th.
