One of the best documentaries of 2012 is a look into the ballet competition, Youth American Grand Prix. First Position tells the story of a group of young dancers who’s lives are immersed in much more then just ballet. Director Bess Kargman chats about her reasons for making the film, her push for diversity thru the casting, and a call for non-ballet folks to check out this award-winning documentary.
