The Brehms will be at the Contemporary Theater of Dallas Monday February 14th for a Valentines Day Show. There will be some amazing special guests and I’d like to warm you up from all this ice with more wonderful tales from The Brehms.
The first part of the interview was about where Stephanie and David were raised and a candid view into their history. This part I’d like to give you more insight into how a band survives in our fair city. Since this is a Valentine’s Day theme though I’d like start this all off with where Stephanie and David truly fell in love.
The band’s evolution really took a jump in the right direction with one particular change.
Stephanie and David at White Rock Coffee.
So was there a song that made you realize writing was the right idea?
That hybrid style or sound could be scary for a lot of artists not wanting to upset the category loving music world. But Stephanie and David embrace that difference and its apparent in their first album, The Brehms.
That last song, She’s Not Asking, has a special place in Stephanie and David’s heart. Its a song that really has an amazing inspiration and I hope you enjoy this open look into what that song means to them.
They went on to further explain the feel of their album.
The Band has one song that has been made into a video.
Here is that video.
Now in two Monday’s The Brehms will be entertaining you on Valentine’s Day and David talks about how they’ve gotten prepped for the event.
In part one of the interview we highlighted the fact that David is a fellow UNT alum and in particular a graduate of the well-respected school of music.
David was awesome enough to point out some of the talented people who have worked with the Brehms, included in the list are numerous UNT grads.
So what city is the their favorite to play in?
You may think they would have said Dallas with UNT in the backyard, but that Dallas sophistication of the audience makes the atmosphere a bit more intense.
Stephanie and David talk about Funky Fort Worth.
